Why converting is best

Interest in renewable energy sources is growing because fossil fuels are running out. People are worried about the way burning fossil fuels damages the environment. Two main impacts on the environment are the greenhouse effect and acid rain. The greenhouse effect is caused by an increase in the concentration of gases such as carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere. This prevents heat from being radiated out into space and causes the Earth’s surface, oceans, and atmosphere to heat up. Acid rain is because gases like sulphur dioxide and nitrous oxides are released when fossil fuels are burned. They mix with rain drops to form acid rain. Acid rain can damage crops and forests, it can make lakes and rivers acidic which can harm fish and aquatic life. Switching over to renewable energy would cut our dependency on foreign countries to supply us with our energy. The best way to save our environment is to use renewable energy, and we need to make the switch as soon as possible.
